Delivery of Equipment + Supplies
Home Care Medical utilizes several methods to deliver equipment and supplies to clients located within the following counties: Calumet, Dodge, Fond du lac, Jefferson, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha. Home Care Medical reserves the right to choose the method of delivery. Clients who choose a more costly form of delivery will be responsible for all delivery charges (E.g. next day delivery service). Clients are reminded they can eliminate delivery charges by picking-up their orders at our Retail stores. (See the inside back cover for Retail store locations). Clients who choose this option are asked to call ahead to ensure their orders are ready for pick-up.
Deliveries Made by a Home Care Medical Technician or Commercial Courier
Generally, Home Care Medical does not make deliveries the same day an order is placed. Typically, an order placed by 4:30 p.m. will be delivered the next day as long as proper authorizations and required documentation and payment are obtained. However, when it is determined that the absence of medical equipment or supplies represents a potential medical emergency, Home Care Medical can make same day deliveries. If an order is not considered an emergency, but a client still requires a same day delivery, we will do our best to meet that request, however, the client will be charged a $50 convenience fee.
Examples of when this charge will apply are:
- Same day/non-emergency delivery
- After-hours/non-emergency delivery
- Delivery of an order that is less than $75
Clients will also be charged a fee if a Home Care Medical Technician or a courier is required to pick-up merchandise incorrectly ordered by the client.
Clients who arrange with Home Care Medical for a Home Care Medical Technician or a courier to make a delivery during a specified timeframe will be charged a redelivery fee if the client is not available or not home during that time frame to receive the delivery. It is the client’s responsibility to notify Home Care Medical if they cannot keep the scheduled appointment and need to cancel it. This must be done timely, prior to the delivery attempt.
Orders placed before 3 p.m. will be shipped by USPS/commercial carrier the same day (pending payer verification) the order is placed. Orders placed after 3 p.m. will be shipped the following business day. Please allow two to three working days, in most instances, to receive a shipment – provided Home Care Medical has the item in stock.
Charges that may apply:
- Out-of-area orders
- Shipping charge
- Shipping charge
- Orders sent COD
- Shipping and COD charges
- UPS pick-up tag
- Shipping charge (this charge applies if UPS is required to pick-up merchandise that is incorrectly ordered by a client)
