Did you know your equipment is on rent from Home Care Medical? In order to serve you better, the following are a few Frequently Asked Questions regarding your Rental Equipment. Rental Insurance FAQs

Q:  How often does my unit rent?
A:  All rentals are billed on a monthly basis. Exception is phototherapy.

Q:  How long does my unit rent?
A: Please contact your insurance company. Your insurance company has coverage guidelines/compliance that must be met for continued coverage. Medicare recipients are 13 paid rental months. Other insurance vary based on coverage guidelines. Exclusion: some equipment does not convert to a purchase and will continue to rent for as long as you have it. These items include, but are not limited to: Oxygen Equipment, Ventilators.

Q:  What is my financial responsibility?
A:  Please contact your insurance company for coverage guidelines specific to your policy. Home Care Medical does verify your insurance benefits prior to your service and provides an estimated out-of-pocket. We do require a payment source to be stored on file with our office and to collect the first months payment prior to service. 

Q:  Will you pro-rate my rental if I return the unit prior to the end of the rental period?
A:  No. All rentals are billed on a monthly basis.

Q:  Will my insurance cover my rental equipment?
A:  Please contact your insurance company. Each insurance policy has its own coverage guidelines and rules. All charges are subject to your policy limitation and coverage, including deductible, coinsurance and any other out of pocket amounts. Most insurances require that you be compliant with the doctor’s order to receive continued coverage. Any charges denied by insurance will be the patient’s financial obligation.

Q:  Who do I contact if I no longer need my equipment?
A:  There are two ways to return your equipment:

  1. You may return the equipment to one of our three Retail Store locations in Milwaukee, Sheboygan or West Bend.
  2. Or, contact our Home Care Medical Corporate Headquarters by calling 262.786.9870 to schedule a return of your equipment.
